Draxius iBodger proxySo, you have a Warmachine/Hordes army list built in iBodger and want to export it to Armies of Immoren or Tabletop Commander? Fear not - there's a tool for you!Currently called the "draxius proxy" on the Privateer Press forums, there's a script that I've written that can handle the export/conversion for you. 1) Simply email your iBodger list to the proxy using the Email List optionInstead of emailing your list to yourself, just email it to one of our proxy scripts:ibodger-aoi at draxius dot com for an AoI list or ibodger-ttc at draxius dot com for a TTC list. You'll get a return email with a properly formatted army list that can be loaded into your chosen desktop army builder. For Tabletop Commander, you can save your file anywhere and load it into the program. For Armies of Immoren, you have to follow the remaining steps below. 2) Save the XML file to your AoI 'armies' folderFor example, if you installed Armies of Immoren to "C:/Program Files/AoI", your armies folder will be "C:/Program Files/AoI/bin/armies". You'll see all of your other AoI armies in there as well.3) Start AoI (if it's not already running)4) In AoI, use the menu option Tools->Rebuild File IndexThis step forces AoI to validate the armies in your folder and add them to your list of loadable armies.![]() 5) Load your army in AoI and enjoy!Frequently Asked Questions:What if I use a different email address on my iPhone than I do on my desktop, and I want my list file to go there instead?Easy. Simply CC: the email address you want it to go to. The proxy it designed with this in mind. For example, in this image: ![]() I CC'ed ibodger-proxy at draxius dot com. The result of the proxy will go there instead of to the gmail address I use on my phone. What if I get an error while doing the Rebuild File Index stepin AoI? If you see an error like the image below, don't panic. ![]() Follow these steps*: 1) Email the output of the proxy to ibodger-proxy at draxius dot com (just forward me the email you were sent by the proxy). I'll look into what bombed out in the first place so we don't repeat the problem. 2) Delete the XML file from your armies folder. 3) Rebuild the File Index again. *Note 1: If you do not follow these steps, you WILL continue to experience problems. Steps 2 and 3 make sure that your file index works - otherwise, armies will likely disappear. Note 2: Some units (from Metamorphosis) are not yet supported by AoI. If your army includes any of these units, you will see this error condition. What if I get a message saying "The selected file is not valid" when loading into Tabletop Commander 1) Email the output of the proxy to ibodger-proxy at draxius dot com (just forward me the email you were sent by the proxy). I'll look into what bombed out in the first place so we don't repeat the problem. You should probably delete the .wmcf file just so it doesn't sit around your system, but it won't continue to cause problems the way an AoI army file can. Hey! The list that your proxy spit out isn't what I built in iBodger! WTF? It's possible I missed properly mapping one or two models. Forward the list (the whole email from the proxy) to ibodger-proxy at draxius dot com with a description of the problem and I should have it patched in fairly short order. Any plans on support for getting Armies of Immoren and Tabletop Commander lists imported into iBodger? Actually, yes. The feature should be supported in iBodger 1.0.1 or 1.0.2, at which point, I'll update this page to explain how to use it. Do you have any plans to support [some other software] in the future? Never heard of it. Feel free to email me some information at ibodger-proxy at draxius dot com and I'll think about it. I didn't get an email back from the proxy... why not? Great question. Please forward the email from your iphone to ibodger-proxy at draxius dot com. I'll figure it out. iBodger © 2009 Wendell Hicken Armies of Immoren by Buhallin Tabletop Commander © 2008 Samuel Shockey |
